Start playing · 0.11.0
You need your own unmodified Pokémon Emerald (USA/Europe) .gba and a GBA emulator. The patch adds the mod to your copy.
On a computer
- Download the 0.11.0 ZIP and extract it.
- Open Prepare-Emerald-Arena.html in your browser. Choose your original Emerald .gba and wait for preparation to finish.
- Click Download game. Open the new .gba in a GBA emulator, such as mGBA.
On iPhone or Android
- Save your original Emerald .gba and the 0.11.0 BPS patch to Files / Downloads.
- Open Rom Patcher JS in Safari or Chrome. Select the .gba under ROM file and the .bps under Patch file.
- Tap Apply patch and save the new .gba. In Delta on iPhone, tap + → Files and import it. On Android, open it in your GBA emulator.
If your phone cannot finish patching, prepare it on a computer and transfer the resulting .gba.
Story or a quick practice fight?
Story: choose NEW GAME with A for the normal introduction.
Practice: with a separate fresh save, highlight NEW GAME and press SELECT. You start with a ready-made team. Press L + R in the field to start a practice fight.
Move with the D-pad, attack with A, dodge with B + direction. L / R changes moves. Save from the field menu.
Still in development. Real-time wild and single trainer battles are supported; doubles and unsupported encounters stay classic. The full adventure has not been verified from start to finish.
Updating? Back up your in-game save first. Use a copy for the new ROM; avoid emulator save states from older versions.
